de retour :: I’m back
De retour de Toronto, fatigué mais heureux. Les ventes ont étés bonnes mais surtout ce fut une superbe expérience de rencontre et de partage des connaissances. Le travail de coutelier est plutôt solitaire… On travail dans la poussière et le bruit et d’avoir une occasion comme celle-la d’échanger avec d’autres aussi fous et passionnés que soi n’a pas de prix.
J’ai passé mon examen d’entrée comme membre votant de la Guilde Canadienne! Je suis soulagé que mon travail ai passé. Avoir devant soi, quand ont est pas encore tout a fait réveillé un samedi matin, Wolfgang Loerchner et Brian Lyttle pour juger de son travail est un peu stessant!!
Je n’ai pas pus prendre beaucoup de photos, le salon étant assez occupé, mais voilà quelques clichés.

Back from Toronto, tired but happy. Good sales, but more important a wonderful occasion to exchange and share with fellows as crazy and passionnate as me. The work of a knifemaker is quite solitary, dusty and noisy, so events like this one are invaluable.
I passed my voting member exam! I’m relieved that my work was good enough. Being in front of craftmen like Wolfgang Loerchner and Brian Lyttle when one is not quite awake on a saturday morning is a bit stressful!!
